Joe Oloriz, 73, a long-time resident of Long Beach, California and Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on September 7, 2018 in Las Vegas.
He was born on December 15, 1944 in Manila, Philippines to Jose and Carmen Oloriz. He found his soul mate and partner for life at the age of 24 in Lancaster, California while in the US Army. He married Maria Larios of Mexico City, Mexico on January 3, 1970.
Joe received a Bachelor of Science in both Chemical Engineering and Accounting. Joe's career spanned many industries including Chemical, Metallurgy, Business, and Accounting. He was also an entrepreneur owning many of his own businesses.
Joe loved good food and socializing, often times organizing get-togethers. He would often times serve the role of bartender and made sure all of his friends were having a good time.
He is survived by his wife Maria; sons Jason and Joseph; granddaughters Ashley, Jessica, and Megan. He is also survived by his mother Carmen.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
Funeral service will be held at 10:00am, October 2, 2018, at St. Viator Catholic Church in Las Vegas. Burial will be held at 12:40pm at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. A reception will be held at 2:00pm at Palm Eastern Mortuary in Las Vegas. |
