Worthy Grand Knights, Membership Directors, Others Bringing Candidates:

Hudson Council #5162 will be holding a First Degree ceremonial on the second Friday of each

month in the 2018-2019 Fiscal Year.

Degree Location: St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 25 Library Street, Hudson, NH 03051

Additional Information:

The degree will be conducted in the church hall, which is located in the basement of the church.

Please use the first entrance closest to the parking lot. Upon entering the building, a council member

will escort the candidates to the Antechamber, which is located in the sanctuary of the church.

All candidates are to report to the Antechamber no later than 7:00 PM.

Please contact First Degree Team Captain at least two (2) days before the degree to inform them of

the number of candidates and spectators. Please do not delay in making arrangements for your

candidates. The Degree will be cancelled unless enough candidates are registered by the

Wednesday immediately preceding the scheduled date.

The dress code is suit jacket and tie with appropriate footwear for all candidates and spectators.

The principle of this degree is Charity, so let your council show their enthusiasm and support for

these candidates by their attendance at this First Degree. All Knights who are Spectators must

present a valid current membership card in order to be admitted to the Degree Ceremonial.

Each attending council must bring the following:

• Council constitutional roll unsigned by candidate.


• Form 100 signed by the candidate


• A First Degree Membership kit consisting of pin, rosary and booklet “These Men They Call

Knights”.

• A First Degree membership card signed by the Grand Knight and Financial Secretary.

Worthy Grand Knights, Membership Directors, Others Bringing Candidates:
The First Degree ceremonial at St. Thomas Aquinas Council 3023 is scheduled for all
LAST Saturdays of the Month at 9:00 AM, in the basement of St. Thomas Aquinas church, 26 Crystal Ave. Derry, NH 03038.
The degree will be conducted in the main hall of the basement. Parking is behind the church. The entrance is on the side of the church, the door closest to the front of the church. All candidates and spectators (Knights) are to enter through this door.
All candidates are to enter the antechamber No later than 8:30 AM which is the first door on the left at the bottom of the stairs. Spectators will be directed to the main hall by the Inside guard.
All Grand Knights, Council Membership Directors or Others who have candidates are asked to contact the First Degree Team Captain, John Dowd in advance at derryjpdowd@gmail.com or at 603-426-7017 to inform him of the number of Candidates and Knights Spectators who plan to attend. This will assist the St. Thomas Aquinas Council to be properly prepared for the Exemplification.
Please do not delay in making arrangements for your candidates.
The dress code is jacket, tie and appropriate footwear for both the Candidates and Knights Spectators.
All Councils are responsible for bringing the following:
Your Constitutional Roll
First Degree Kit which includes the book “These Men They Call Knights” (dated 7/11); and a rosary.
Lapel pin.
First Degree Membership Card signed by the Financial Secretary and Grand Knight.
Candidates’ signed Form 100.
All Knights who are Spectators must present a 2017 membership card in order to be admitted to the Degree Ceremonial.
The principle of this degree is Charity, so let your council show their enthusiasm and support for these candidates by their attendance at this First Degree Exemplification.
