Sir and Brother Knights,
This is my final Grand Knight’s Message and I want to express my deepest gratitude and say it has been an Honor and a Privilege to have served Our Council as Grand Knight for over 2 ½ years. I am especially pleased that we will have an outstanding corps of Officers coming up! Please give them your full support to continue making our Council 8009 Great! Here’s a photo of the June 14 Installation:
Grand Knight Anthony Tomasi, Deputy Grand Knight Nate Berry, Financial Secretery John Esposito, Chancellor Mark Barletta, Warden Tim Cunningham, Recorder Ryan Ashurtz, Treasurer Dennis Martin, Inside Guard Dan Gallen, Outside Guard Bob Lapenna, 1 yr Trustee Bob Torrel, 2 yr Trustee Frank Warecke, 3 yr Trustee Bob Kwiecinski and Chaplain Rev Fr. John Morrissey.
We awarded the Knight of the Year 2018/2019 to two outstanding Knights
Patrick Schneider, who has been extremely active in most all of our events, dinners, Clambake, Octoberfest, Fish Frys’, Breakfast with Santa, and chairs our Special Olympics Volunteers Team.
Nate Berry, who has also been extremely active in most all of our events, dinners, Breakfast with Santa, Trick or Trunk, Golf Committee, Chairman of the Clambake, and also our Community Director.
Both these Knights are Shinning examples of “Knights in Action!”
The Family of the Year was selected by the Council Officers (minus GK input)
Family of the Year 2018-2019 was awarded to Bob and Sharon (“Cake Lady”) Kwiecinski. Sharon volunteers and bakes 3 sheet cakes every Thursday for the Parish Food Ministry, made homemade black forest cakes for the Oktoberfest, 400 cookies for kids to decorate at Breakfast with Santa, Fish Fry’s and helps for many K of C events.
We have a special request from Dr. Bob and Rick Broderick for the Chalice Program. They need volunteers to staff their “Chalice Sign-Up” table after all Masses the weekend of June 29-30. Please RSVP to Dr. Bob (772-532-0432) or email reply to Bob Kwiecinski (email@example.com) if you can help.
Please congratulate our newest “Sir Knights” Fourth Degree members who were Knighted on June 15. We had a near record 11 knights who were exemplified that day!
Thank you all once again!
Fraternally, and Vivat Jesu!
