Congratulations to Council 1762

The State Deputy Trophy is back in our chambers!

Council 1762 was awarded the 2019-2020 State Deputy Trophy for Division 3. This is the 13th time since 1999 that our Council has won this prestigious award. Along with the State Deputy Trophy the council was awarded the Division 3 History Book Program Activity Award for Superior Diocese and the History Book Preparation Award for Superior Diocese.

Congratulations to Merritt Stigen

Merritt was awarded the State Medallian Award for the Superior Diocese for 2019-2020 fraternal year. This award honors distinguished Knights in the service of Columbianism in the State of Wisconsin. This is the highest honor for a Knight in the State of Wisconsin.

O Mary,
you always brighten our path
as a sign of salvation and of hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick,
who, at the Cross, took part in Jesus’ pain
while remaining steadfast in faith.
O loving Mother,
you know what we need,
and we are confident you will provide for us
as at Cana in Galilee.
Intercede for us with your Son Jesus,
the Divine Physician,
for those who have fallen ill,
for those who are vulnerable,
and for those who have died.
Intercede also for those charged with
protecting the health and safety of others
and for those who are tending to the sick
and seeking a cure.
Help us, O Mother of Divine Love,
to conform to the will of the Father
and to do as we are told by Jesus,
who took upon himself our
sufferings and carried our sorrows,
so as to lead us, through the Cross,
to the glory of the Resurrection. Amen.
Under thy protection we seek refuge,
O Holy Mother of God.
In our needs, despise not our petitions,
but deliver us always from all dangers,
O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.

Adapted from the prayer of Pope Francis

Let us remember the prayer of our beloved Saint Patrick

May the Strength of God pilot us.
May the Power of God preserve us.
May the Wisdom of God instruct us.
May the Hand of God protect us.
May the Way of God direct us.
May the Shield of God defend us.
May the Host of God guard us.
Against the snares of the evil ones,
Against the temptations of the world.
May Christ be with us!
May Christ be before us!
May Christ be in us, Christ be over all!
May Thy Salvation, Lord, always be ours,
This day, O Lord, and evermore. Amen
Fr. John
