Portola 250/International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Fatima - September 11!

2019 marks the 250th anniversary of the Portola Expedition, which brought St. Junipero Serra to what is now the state of California. The world-famous International Pilgrim Statue of Fatima accompanied the Portola 250 tour while it visits all 21 missions in California. Along the way, our parish had the rare opportunity to host the statue for one evening on Patriot Day, September 11, 2019. Parishioners and other admirers gatherd for a multi-lingual rosary (led by our own Fr. Sylvester) at 6:15, mass at 7:00, and an English language rosary on the Plaza after mass. The statue was available for veneration until midnight. An estimated 800 people were in attendance. (updated 9/13/19)
