“ Rivers do not drink their own waters; trees do not eat their own fruit; the sun does not shine on itself and flowers do not spread their fragrance for themselves. Living for others is a rule of nature. We are all born to help each other. No matter how difficult it is…..Life is good when you are happy; but much better when others are happy because of you.”
Pope Francis

You will find the application packet there.
The St. Barbara Knights have been assigned a new seminarian to help support through our RSVProgram. His name is Brody Stewart. Brody is currently at Mt. Angel Seminary, in Oregon, and is in his fifth year of studies, Theology III. Brody was born and raised in Marysville, WA. The oldest of three children in a non-Catholic household, he did not discover the Faith until he went to Western Washington University for college. Upon graduating with a degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, he was also baptized, confirmed, and received his first communion at Sacred Heart parish in Bellingham.
After college Brody worked at Faithlife (used to be Logos Bible Software) for three years. At Faithlife Brody did marketing for their Catholic department, Verbum. Brody began the seminary in 2016. He recently concluded a “pastoral year” at St. Louise parish in Bellevue. Incidentally our last seminarian, Carlos Orozco, is currently at St. Louise parish.
Brody loves soccer, reading theology and roasting coffee.
Your prayers of support all throughout his training is so important. As always, your generosity is appreciated. While on this earth we need messengers of word in our daily lives. We are grateful that Brody has chosen this path of bringing light during these unsettling times.
"for it is in giving that we receive "
WE PRAY THAT EVERYONE IS STAYING SAFE AND HEALTHY. BLESSINGS FROM YOUR ST. BARBARA KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS.
