Mark Shingler

Brother Mark Shingler has been an asset to our council for almost 40 years. He joined the Knights on October 1, 1980 at the age of 20. He completed his first, second and third degrees all on the same day in October. His dedication and commitment to Council #4879 over the years has involved many events. Mark is a staple in the kitchen participating in a majority of our youth and parish fish fry’s over the last 5 years. His involvement in Church events, Corn Fest, and council meals is well appreciated. He was Warden of our Council for over 9 years. He is currently serving as President of the Columbus Corporation. Brother Mark has served as Council historian and has compiled history books that are of the highest quality, receiving diamond (top level) awards in past judging. Again, this year the history book is exceptional.

Mark has also made time over the past 36 years in the community in being a referee in both basketball and football at the high school level. His currently only referees at the high school football level. He and his wife Judy have been members of St. Albert the Great Parish for the past 21 years. Mark serves as both a Eucharistic and Hospitality minister on a regular basis.

Congratulations to Mark for being our Knight of the Year for his commitment to the Church, Family, Holy Family Council #4879, and support for our community youth.
