2023 - 2024
Phil Bettwy
As is evidenced, Brother Bettwy has been a STAR performer for the Council and impact player for a very long time. When Council members think of who epitomizes a Knight the most from our Council, they picture Brother Phil Bettwy. Selfless, passionate, tireless. He rarely says "no" to anything. He is always finding a way to do more. When "Coats for Kids" Program was discussed a year ago, Brother Bettwy jumped forward to lead the project by himself. He single-handedly, presented the "Big Idea" to the Council to obligate $20,000 towards purchasing a brand-new ultrasound for Tepeyac Center, a pro-life pregnancy center. Once approved, he then, single-handedly worked with Supreme to fill out the required forms to get another matching contribution of $20,000 from Supreme for a grand total donation of $40,000. There is not a single event in our Council that Brother Bettwy doesn't participate in (with over 50 events on our program rolls). He is always out in front and leading the way by his own personal example. A man of great integrity and grit, he personifies what it means to be a good Catholic gentleman. |

2022 - 2023
Patrick Franco
Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. Look--up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's SUPERMAN, otherwise known as SK Patrick (Pat) Franco! The mold was broken with SK Franco. As a PGK and PFN and Trustee, he never took his foot off the accelerator. Pat took charge of many events within our Council, including: Faith Program Director, Octoberfest Event Lead, Exemplification Lead, "Into the Breach" Lead, etc. When Pat wasn't leading, he was still a significant "Action" player within nearly every program and event that took place. Pat is moving to MD this summer and his voice and muscle will be missed. We wish him the best of luck. There could not have been a better choice for this Knight of the Year (KOY) award for Fraternal Year 2022-2023. God Bless, Pat! |

Pat Franco
Our worthy Chancellor (and current Grand Knight), took an active role in managing our program activities. Whenever an extra hand was needed, Pat stepped up to the plate and into the breach to help out. During the year, he put in countless hours for both the council and the parish. As a Mass usher, Pat often covered two Masses per weekend. He was always on hand to support the dinners sponsored by the council, and he was often in the church parking lot on cold nights selling Christmas trees. Pat took a lead role in support of our degree ceremonies. Finally, when the prospective nominee for upcoming Grand Knight had to bow out from those duties due to other pressing commitments, Pat once again volunteered his time and energies for this demanding role.

William (Bill) Strickland
Bill volunteered to be our Recorder earlier in the year and every event or council activity, Bill was there. Bill does many things for our parish outside of the Knights and is a huge asset to St. Raymond's. We are very lucky to have him as a Knight and a member of our parish. Thank you Bill for your tireless volunteering and making our council what is is today. |
