2021 - 2022

Steve Luedtke

Brother Steve was chosen by GK Don Thompson to be Knight of the Year for his continued presence at most every event.
He assisted the Auxiliary with their Bundt Cake sale in June. He is also instrumental in assisting the Youth
group with their activities such as their Breakfast Burrito program.
He is also an active member of the Catholic War Veterans and the 4th Degree Assembly.
Steve always assists with a smile and a great attitude.

2020 - 2021

SK Ken Sawyer

The choice for Knight of the Year was easy; Ken stepped up as Financial Secretary when the Council desperately needed one. He continued to provide council and support the the GK and was truly appreciated for all he did.

2018 - 2019

Steven Luedtke

SK Steve has consistently been a go to brother when setting up, or cleaning up for Council events is needed. Event after event he is always willing to takes charge and gets things done!
SK Steve received a plaque and certificate at a special function honoring those who have served the Council in the past. And once again we finally found Steve working in the kitchen when his name was announced.
We are privileged to have him as the 2018- 2019 Knight of the Year

2017 - 2018

Lamar Johnson

Lamar Johnson was named Knight of the Year at the Past Grand Knight’s Luau on July 21. Lamar is very deserving of this long-overdue honor. Lamar is constantly at Council events helping- just quietly does whatever needs to be done and without being recognized for it. He has been there helping for years and you can always depend upon him to help. He also serves as an usher for the Parish. Thank you Lamar!!! Council is proud to honor you as Knight of the Year.

2016 - 2017

Michael LaRiccia

Our Knight of the year for 2016-2017 is our own Michael LaRiccia. Mike is a very active Knight - helps out whenever he can at functions. Mike is also honored for being an expert Council resource on many items. Mike has been in the Knights for years and is a PGK, Past Financial Secretary, and more. He has been a great resource for the Officers of the Council, and also watching for things and making suggestions without being asked. This is much appreciated by the officers. This year when the Financial Secretary was gone for a couple weeks, Mike filled in and did his duties while he was gone. Mike is there at every turn to help. Thank you Mike for all you do

2015 - 2016

Ray Foster

Council 10442 honors Ray Foster as Knight of the Year for 2015-2016. Ray was honored because of his tireless support of the Council and all our events. He is always there, helping at every dinner, every ticket sale, every pancake breakfast, every fundraiser. He also is an Usher for the Parish. Thank you for all you do, Ray. The Council really appreciates this deserving and hard working Knight!

2014 - 2015

Tony Tatalo

Congratulations Brother SK Tony Tatalo on being selected Council 10442 2014-2015 Knight of the Year.
Brother Tony Tatalo has been a Knight since April 13, 2005 and a Sir Knight since June 3, 2006. He is currently an officer in both the Council and the Fr. Joseph O'Callahan Assembly 2820. Since joining the Knights, he has been extremely active in all Council and Assembly events. He has faithfully participated in just about every event either has put forth. He helps with the shopping for all Council Dinners and Pancake Breakfasts at Restaurant Depot and Sam's, then works in the kitchen days in advance prepping food and then through to the end with cleaning up the kitchen.
He always participates in other fundraising events like the Tootsie Rolls, the Concession Booth project at UNLV stadium, Keep Christ in Christmas Button Drive and Poster contest, just to name a few.
Tony also serves as the Head Usher for the 1000 mass and his joy and enthusiasm for this ministry is a great example of what a Knight should be.
Brother Tony is one of those first to say "I'll help" and often one of those volunteers that is out of sight behind the scenes- he is more concerned with getting the job done.
On Behalf of the Council, Thank you Tony!

2013 - 2014

Chuck McCloskey

When it came to Knight of the Year, it could have no one else but Chuck McCloskey. Chuck was Grand Knight for the past two years, and during that time the Council has made amazing progress and was able to do a lot of good work. In fact, last year the Council was able to donate over $15,000 to charity and Chuck was at the helm of all those efforts. He is one of the hardest workers in the Council, is always there when there is work to be done and a great example to all of us. All this in spite of challenges with family and work but he managed it all and inspired all of us.
