This month’s winner is someone who is always there taking care of this council behind the scenes. He does the majority of food purchasing for all the events we do throughout the year. He also keeps the soda machines stocked and so much more. |
|
May 2015
Dave Cash
This month’s winner signed up to manage one of the most thankless jobs we have. The annual “Hearding of Cats” event known as “The Greater Monsignor Open”. He worked the sign-up list, found the venue, reworked the sign up list, found lodging, again reworked the sign up list, scheduled a bus to take the golfer, set the price for the event … not surprisingly, he again reworked the sign-up list, cancelled the bus, got drivers, once more, reworked the sign up list. And FINALLY, led a great event in Nashville |

April 2015
Bill Lee
Bill is the epitome of selfless service. You will see this knight at nearly every event. He will always volunteer to take the tough jobs. At social events, he is the one cooking food for everyone else. He always works hard and he never wants any recognition. His humility and dedication are models for all to follow. |
|
March 2015
Chris Brooks
Back in early December this knight came to the rescue of a friend who had been carjacked, then found the car and followed it for nearly 30 miles while staying on the phone with 911 until police caught up. |
|
February 2015
Lenny Petitte
Lenny Petitte lent his cooking talents in support of multiple events. Of particular note, he prepared his special “from scratch” sauce recipe for the second Spaghetti Dinner the council hosted this year. Both events were greatly successful, especially considering they were held on Wednesday evenings. This community event, designed to build a sense of community, has been regarded as a great success, in no small part to Lenny Petitte's efforts. |
|
January 2015
Eric Bonds
Some of our events help those in the community. Other events help inspire those who visit our community. Eric was responsible for showing off our organizing the teams to provide hospitality to the visiting team for this year’s Liberty Bowl. He not only organized the schedule, but personally worked most every night at the hospitality suite (including on Christmas day) as well as working the Pre-Game Brunch |
|
December 2014
Michael Hans
There were many outstanding candidates this month. However, this Knight went above and beyond in support of a national event that directly engaged and inspired our youth – “the Silver Rose Run”. He coordinated the event, which occurred on a non-school day. Then, because of a scheduling issue which did not allow for the actual silver rose to be present, he personally purchased a red rose for each child who ran the race. |
|
November 2014
Tom Viotti
This Knight has done lots of hard work at many knights events, including OktoberFest and the recent Parish Breakfast. He has also been very involved in the Council’s membership and retention efforts. |
|
October 2014
Glen Harckum
For his hard work in support of Oktoberfest 2014. Glen led the team of knights who prepared brats and other grill items for the event. |
|
September 2014
David Finkelstein
For his hard work in organizing and running the End of Summer Parish Picnic. Due to the extremely hot weather, David made the quick decision to move the picnic "INSIDE", thus creating the new tradition of the "Beat the Heat" indoor picnic. |
|
August 2014
Steve Manzo
For his hard work in running the council, including chairing the first council meeting of the new fraternal year, while the Grand Knight was on travel for his new job. |
|
