September 2023

Vince Kokal

Known for his woodwork, our Knight of the Month used his woodworking talent to make an Ossuary to be used at a Funeral Mass in front of the altar (for those who don’t know, this is a box where an urn is placed in front of the altar). The wooden box is made with wood and stained glass on both sides. Our Knight of the Month made stained glass and used cherry for the wood pieces. He will also be adding a cross to the box similar to the one on the ambo. In addition to the Ossuary our Knight of the month is a Past Grand Knight of our Council and was a big help to Tim Evans during our Past Grand Knights dinner.

David McCrum has been our Council Retention chair for 3 or 4 years running? in addition to many other roles he has filled over the years (Ticket Sales for Casino Night, Sponsor for the Squires, advocate for our Council among others).
