2021 - 2022

Patrick and Jasmine McCormick

Family of the Year for Fraternal Year 2021-2022 is the McCormick family: Pat, his wife Jasmine and son Ian. In addition to Pat’s diligent efforts serving as the Council Outside Guard during our Business Meetings, he enlisted the time and talent of his family for the successful events of our Fish Fry and Tamale Sales. Pat has been a valuable volunteer at our monthly presence to support Minnie’s Food Pantry. The McCormick influence has been instrumental in planning the support required to participate in the charitable conferences for St. Vincent de Paul. Pat and his family were actively involved in the conduct of over 30 conferences throughout the Diocese of Dallas. Pat is the Charitable Resource Coordinator for the Seton Conference. The St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was founded by Catholics to live our faith through charity; to help those most in need; to love and serve the Lord by loving and serving our neighbors. Through your generous contributions, we are able to provide support to families within our parish boundaries who are experiencing difficulties within our social structures. The funds are used to rescue families who find themselves in an unexpected crisis situation and provide temporary financial assistance, education, and support to help them become self-sufficient. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church/Society of St. Vincent de Paul/Plano, TX (setonparish.org). Congratulations to Pat and his family for their active charitable service to earn the recognition as Council 7850 Family of the Year.

2020 - 2021

Jim and Carol Goode

The 2021 Knight Family of the Year is Jim and Carol Goode. Jim and Carol were there to help with every function from Exemplifications to barbeques. The list of the volunteering hours and tasks is long. They are a most deserving family to select for 2021.
Thank you both and congratulations!

2015 - 2016

Scott and Rosalie Mackinaw

Council 7850’s Family of the Year is awarded to Scott and Rosalie Mackinaw. As our council’s youth director Scott has chaired several events that serve our youth. For these events he always enlists the support and help from his family. From cooking burgers and dogs for the youth to serving snow cones at Seton’s 40th Anniversary Picnic , Scott and his family are involved. Congratulations to the Mackinaw Family for being Council 7850’s Family of the Year. Pictured here are Scott and Rosalie with daughters Amanda and Angellina.

2014 - 2015

Bob and Mary Ann Wilson

Bob has been our council Chancellor and Tamale sales chairman. He and Mary Ann together have made the tamale sale a cornerstone of council fund raising events. They both can be found on sale weekends hauling tamales out of room 200, selling after all masses, and helping the council volunteers master the art of selling tamales! Bob is also a member of Assembly 2266 of the fourth degree and a member of it's color corp. He will be an officer of the assembly next fraternal year. The Wilson's have been a vital and active part of Council 7850 since the day they became part of our council family. Thank you both for your many contributions to our Council and to St Elizabeth. God Bless You Both!

2013 - 2014

Brad and Connie Istas

Brad and Connie have helped us with every major event we held in our fraternal year 2013-2014. Connie is active in the Auxiliary and worked on the all our major events. Brad is our Program Director and has worked tirelessly on all our current and future projects. When we needed a truck to move equipment he was always there. When a voice of reason is needed in our council his is the one that everyone hears. Need to talk to Brad during the week? Go to 7:00am mass. He is there every day. I think that Brad and Connie were the kind of people that Fr. McGivney envisioned this fraternal order could become when he started the Knights of Columbus. Thank you both for all you do from the Officers, Directors, and Members of Council 7850.
