David and Christie Volz

Our council #4879 is pleased to announce that the David Volz Family is our 2019 Family of the year. Brother David has been a Knight for 22 years. He is a past Grand Knight of Council 4879.

The Volz family are members of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Parish. Brother David has served as chair of the Parish Council and as a member of the Liturgy Commission from 2016-2019. He is always ready to step up and help in council activities. The family participates in numerous activities of both the parish and Sacred Hearts School. Christie has contributed to Sacred Hearts School for over a decade as a volunteer, then a substitute teacher and finally full time as a teaching assistant. She also served on the Parish School Commission. The family has enjoyed volunteering for council events, such as dinners and breakfasts and helps out at the Parish festival.

Their children Elizabeth (a Sacred Hearts School graduate) and Veronica (a Sacred Hearts School eighth grade student) are regular Mass servers. Congratulations, and thank you, for your service to the Holy Family Council, the community, and the church.
