Christmas is a time of giving and everyone is inclined to give more to help those in need. The Knights of Columbus is all about helping others in the parish and community. The efforts of individual Knights and their families might go unnoticed because of our common inclination towards benevolence. Your efforts in organizing and managing the Ed Nauer Memorial Outreach Tree cannot go unnoticed. Most notable was the way you worked together as a family to ensure the success of this program. Its success can be measured by the over 1800 gifts that went to the families, organizations, and individuals who otherwise might have been forgotten during this joyous season.
This accomplishment required countless hours of your time over the course of 3 months to coordinate with the recipients, produce the tags to the requested gifts specify, to organize the gifts as they arrive, and to organize the distribution of those gifts in a timely manner. It should be noted that all 1800 gifts were moved from the Church and on their way to the recipients in 20 minutes.
This effort, at this time of the year, is truly commendable but not unusual for you and your family. All members of the Council know that when the need is identified you are among the first to step up. Your family exemplifies the true meaning of being a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Christian. We are proud to count Teresa and you as members of our council family.

Bruce & Joy Spahr

Being a member of the Knights of Columbus does not mean men only activities. As Christians we also work with our families to support our Parish and community. Bruce and Joy have spent hours supporting our Council, church and community with the Knights of Columbus Fish Dinners by cooking, serving, and cleaning up. Additionally, they exemplify the true meaning of Christians by supporting New Eve Ministries in all things needed within the facility. Their continued support proves their dedication to our faith, parish, and community. Thank you Bruce and Joy.
