Costas Family

The Costas Family consists of Frank, Jennifer, Nathan and Alyssa. They have been active and integral members of the Catholic Community here in Sumter for many years. Frank has been a youth minister assisted by his wife Jennifer for the past three years and the two of them have played a major role in making the youth group and youth ministry here in Sumter what it is today. Nathan and Alyssa are not only members of the youth group but are also in the Praise and Worship band that helps enrich our music ministry at the youth masses. Besides that, they have performed at the St. Valentine's Day Dinner Dance and Black History program. The Costas family is always willing and eager to get involved in any way they can. Frank has been the youth director for the council for part of this past year leading the Basketball Free Throw and making sure that a Youth of the Month was awarded each month from youth within youth group.

2015 - 2016

Williams

The family of Matthew (Matt) B. Williams, member # 4178700, is Bishop Henry P. Northrop Council 2207’s nomination for Family of the Year for fraternal year 2014-2015. The Williams family exhibits the highest ideals of what being a Catholic family in today’s world is all about. Matt and his wife, Katrina (Kat) have seven children ranging in age from 13 to 1. The Williams family attend Sunday mass together, are always punctual, and the children are extremely well-mannered and are aware that something special is taking place.
The Williams family exemplifies the model Knights of Columbus family in every respect, as demonstrated by their devotion to the Catholic faith, their community, and to each other. Coupled with the hardship of frequent absences because of military commitments, their perseverance is even more remarkable.
