Ron And Peggy Olinger Family

Congratulations to the Ron and Peggy Olinger family on being selected as the SFX Council 15126 Family of the Year for 2022.
Ron is the elected Council Treasurer, whose independent, efficient, and reliable performance in that position has greatly improved the overall council financial operations. As the primary individual responsible for administering the Council’s operating account, he provided steady leadership in maintaining our annual budget planning and execution. He is a Fourth Degree member Knight who participated and attended nearly all Council Member, Officer and Director meetings and many other events on a regular basis. He continues to volunteer his service as a Hospitality Minister for weekend Parish Masses.
Peggy provided this Council with major assistance during the past two Council sponsored SFX Parish Garage Sales by volunteering a significant amount of personal time to help with item displays, arrangement, and pricing. Her individual efforts during the last two annual Coats for Kids Projects had a major positive impact on the overall coat purchasing process, improved the coat styles and overall quality, and allowed higher quantities to be purchased at more reasonable prices by her personal purchasing and storing of coats found on sale or clearance throughout the year. Her individual initiative, dedication, and passion for this project is well recognized by the membership of our council. A sincere Thank You goes to Ron and his wife Peggy for all they have done and continue to do for our Council’s mission.

2021 - 2022

He is a consistent and reliable volunteer for all Parish work-related events. He is a valuable and loyal brother Knight who volunteers his time and talents at all Council meetings and service or social events, especially including the Mount Olivet Statue Cleaning, and the Thanksgiving Food Baskets projects during this past year. Betty Werner is a productive member of the Ladies Altar Society Parish Funeral Luncheon Committee contributing many volunteer hours of funeral luncheon service to the families of deceased parishioners. Mark and Betty have together contributed significant effort in service to this Council and our Parish community. They both provided critical assistance to SFX Knights Council during the 2020 Parish Chicken Dinner by helping with outdoor cook site setup and the indoor kitchen food preparation. We extend our congratulations to the Mark and Betty Werner family on being awarded the Council 15126 Family of the Year for 2021.
