SK Bill & Lady Vilma Koss

Grand Knight Chuck McCloskey is honored to announce the selection of SK Bill & Lady Vilma Koss as the 2021 - 22 Family of the Year.
They both gave and gave during the year for the betterment of the Council and were very much appreciated.
Congratulations to Vilma & Bill.

2020 - 2021

Lady Krista & SK David Richardson

Krista & Dave Richardson helped the Council in so many ways this year, together they were a true team whether it was running items back and forth from the shed, helping to set up and take down for various events. They truly were the go to couple when help was needed. They made the job of being GK a lot easier, and are most appreciated.

2020 - 2021

SK Tony & Lady Paula Donofrio

Sir Knight Tony and Lady Paula were chosen as family of the year by GK Don Thompson for their steady production of the monthly Council Newsletter which kept the membership informed about Council activity during the pandemic.
In addition, they have been involved in church ministry for over 30 years as Eucharist Ministers and Tony as a Lector. Tony will celebrate 30 years as a knight in council 10442 in January 2022 with most of those years as a council officer. Paula has been an officer in the Lady’s Auxiliary since it’s inception in 2002.

2018 - 2019

Lady Dee & Sir Knight Robert Zagby

Lady Dee & Sir Knight Robert Zagby are honored at a special Council event honoring those who have served the Council in the past.
The Zagby's clearly demonstrate couples in action in their service to the Council.
They were presented with a plaque as the 2018- 2019 Family of the Year at the reception.

2017 - 2018

Franco and Becki Brigandi

Our Family of the Year for 2017-2018 is Franco and Becki Brigandi.
They are being honored as an excellent example of a Family working together to help each other and support the Council. Franco is constantly behind the scenes in the kitchen cooking all day for Council dinners, and spends a lot of time on his feet doing the prep and shopping.
Becki supports him in this, and also is very active in the Ladies Auxiliary – she is co-chairwoman of the Religious Goods Sales and so is there at all the masses of the sales, and setup and pack up. She is also currently serving as Vice President of the Auxiliary. This couple is very deserving of the honor. The Council is very proud to honor them as Family of the Year!

2016 - 2017

Fred and Linda Smith

Our Family of the year for 2016-2017 is Fred and Linda Smith.
Fred has done a fantastic job stepping in as Financial Secretary, and also taking on responsibility in Color Corp command. He and Linda are there helping at every opportunity and Council function. Linda is a busy and active member of the Ladies Auxiliary - always using her talents to help the Ladies do projects - arts, lunch bags for Ronald McDonald House, fundraisers. The Council is grateful for this couple and their energy and enthusiasm!

2015 - 2016

Bill and Vilma Koss

Our Family of the Year for 2015-2016 is Bill and Vilma Koss. They are honored by the Council for their hard work and support of the Council and our many events. Bill is a tireless worker, always helping at dinners, pancake breakfast, ticket sales, membership drives. He served as the Deputy Grand Knight this past year and is starting his term as Grand Knight this month.
Vilma is a tremendous support and a hard worker at all the events as well. She helps out decorating for the dinners and selling of Religious goods for the Ladies Auxiliary. She served as Secretary this past year and is currently starting her term as President of the Ladies Auxiliary. She is a lector for the Parish as well.
Both Bill and Vilma serve at Catholic Charities 2-3 days per week. The Council appreciates this amazing and deserving couple!!

2014 - 2015

Robert and Jolyn Pinzl

From his acceptance into the First Degree, Bob has been a steady and faithful member of the Council, actively participating in its many programs and activities. Bob has always answered the call, he enthusiastically volunteers for any and all projects, spending long hours handing out Tootsie Rolls, selling tickets to our many events, whenever his health permits.
Jolyn as President of the Ladies Auxiliary with her leadership, competence, and creativity has kept the Auxiliary vital and an important partner in everything the Council does. Through her efforts and that of our other Ladies, the Auxiliary has maintained an important and on-going relationship with the "Fawn House", a halfway house for women recovering from addiction. Their association with these women and their encouragement and uncritical support is an example of their Christian testimony.
As a couple, Bob and Jolyn volunteered to take over and publish the Council's newsletter. Since that time, they have aggressively sought to make our Knightly Notes more informative and instructive for all our members, and especially those who are unable to attend our meetings. GREAT JOB!!!!

2013 - 2014

Tony and Paula Donofrio

Tony and Paula Donofrio were awarded the Family of the Year for the 2013-2014 Fraternal Year for their many accomplishments and contributions not only to the Council but to the Parish as well. Paula has done a lot of work as administrative assistant for the Youth ministry program at the Parish. Tony and Paula have both been very active in the Parish and the Council and both are wonderful mentors for others. The Council and the Parish appreciate their hard work and recognize them as Family of the Year!
