Jack serves as a shinning example that regardless of age you are never too old to help Christopher Council carry out its charitable works. When you need help, Mike is one of the Knights you can call upon. Mike joined the Knight of Columbus Christopher Council July 2017 achieving the honors of the 3rd Degree November 2019.

Brenda, she “joined” the Knights when I joined; she has always been very supportive of me and my activities whether work, Boy Scouts, and the Knights of Columbus. With the pandemic the number of guests were down and fewer volunteer organizations are participating. When talking to the RMH coordinator Mike Was informed that no organization volunteered for Sunday’s dinner. Mike without hesitation volunteered to provided Sunday’s dinner as well. With the COVID restrictions the meals had to be prepared off site and packaged in take-out containers. The executive chefs prepared 30 meals for the Saturday & Sunday evening meals. The menu consisted of roast pork, Italian chicken, vegetarian entree of eggplant parmigiana, parsley potatoes, and Italian string beans, salad and roll. Brian's leadership, planning, and coordination of the State Picnic, once again, made this event a great success, despite the adverse weather conditions. In true Christopher Council fashion, Brian sacrificed a weekend of his family vacation to make sure the picnic went forward without a hitch. While his dedication to, and sacrifices for, Christopher Council are known, we need to recognize Brian would not be able to do this without the support of his family, so once again we thank Brian and his family for all that they do for our Council.

Stephen Schaefer & Family

Throughout the 2015 - 2016 Columbian year our Council Officers work many hours and do innumerable tasks while performing the duties of their respective offices, attending meetings, and aiding our Council in carrying on its charitable and fraternal functions. The time they spend helping our Council keeps them away from their families. While we personally recognize the sacrifices our outgoing Officers make throughout the year we do not formally recognize them and their families during their term of office. However, it is appropriate that we do so now at the end of their respective terms. We therefore name all of the outgoing officers and their families collectively as the family of the month.
