March 2024

The Loviza Family

Tom & Carol are ushers, March for Life bus captains, members of the prison ministry, respect life ministry, and coordinated the rise for hunger activity at St. Gabriels organizing roughly 70 people.


February 2024

The Barone Family

Chris and Mary Barone have been busy in the Prayer Garden in the front of the Church. Both are members of multiple ministries and Chris stays active in Council Programs as he can.


January 2024

The Zatkulak Family

This family has been very busy over the last month with many things they do for the Parish. Tony has been busy being prayer leader, MC for the Christmas Concert we sponsored along with set up and take down help. Tony also took care of passing out the cards for last Sunday’s Masses dedicated to the Consecration of the Holy Family. Sally has been covering as Cantor at the Christmas and New Year’s Day Masses as well as a choir member for the Christmas Concert.


December 2023

The White Family

Patricia White has been a cantor and member of the music ministry for many years. She is always responsive to cover at more than one mass in a weekend, or for a funeral if needed. She is also an active member of WINGS. Her mom, Leah Robinson is one of the oldest members of the parish. She was an active member of WINGS, speaker, and now she offers intercessory prayers for the parish since she is homebound.

The Haddon Family

Steve and Barbara Haddon continue to be outstanding members of St. Gabriel's Parish. Steve & Barbara are both eucharistic ministers and members of several of the Parish ministries. Steve remains active in all of our Council activities and is a mentor for anyone running some of the Council Programs and Presentations.


October 2023

The Longerbeam Family

The Longerbeam Family (Orville and Patty). Orville and Patty Longerbeam are regular ushers at weekend Mass, they recently took care of sending flowers from the Council to Debbie Hockett in memory of Michael Hockett, are always helping out in some way with the yearly Council fundraiser, and help out with other behind the scenes tasks the Parish or Parish members need help with.


September 2023

The Evans Family

Tim serves as our Chancellor and Community Programs Chair for the Council. He did an outstanding job with the Past Grand Knights Dinner last month, is working on our First Responders Appreciation Night this month, among a few other items he is working on for Parish members and the Church. He also serves on the Church Finance Committee and is a prayer leader for our Parish. Joan is always there right by his side helping out where needed and capturing snapshots on camera during every event she is there for that the Knights or the Parish put on.


August 2023

Williams Family

Jeff and Susan Williams and daughter Lily are regular ushers for our Parish, some weekends serving more than one Mass filling in vacant usher spots. Susan is also head of the ushers for the Parish and a prayer leader. Their son Jack is an altar server. Jeff is also a member of the Knights.

The Wilson Family

Wayne and Nancy Wilson are two of the most active church parishioners. In addition to being the Outside Guard for our Council, Wayne Wilson is one of the Past Grand Knights of our Council and is a Eucharistic Minister for our The Parish of St. Gabriel. Nancy Wilson has been an integral part of the Church of St. Gabriel for a number of years now. She continues as she has for many years now to be the head of the Eucharistic Ministry Program here at St. Gabriel as well as a prayer leader.

The Purdy Family

The Purdy Family is a great example of a strong Catholic family. They attend mass every week. Richard is a Prayer Leader, and serves on the Pastoral Council, and Allie is an Alter Server and an Usher. The Purdy’s volunteer for many Church related activities.

The Haddon Family

The Haddon Family is a great example of a strong Catholic family. They attend mass every week, Steve is an Alter Server, both are Ministers of the Eucharist, both work on the church Arts & Environment Committee, and Barbara is involved in the WINGS group. Steve is also involved in the Community serving at Caritas, and as a member of the Chesterfield County Emergency Response Team.

The long Family

The Long family is a great example of a strong Catholic family. The entire family (Mike, Krista, Christine, and Abby) attends mass together every week. Mike is serving in the Military, just home from a lengthy tour of duty, and daughter Christine has been serving as a very dependable Alter Server 2 times a week.

The Tamo Family

The Tamo family is a great example of a strong Catholic family. The entire family attends mass together every week. They have a large family with a special needs child. Their daughter Michelle is also a cantor for the 11 am mass.


February 2023

The Yanovitch Family

Bill and Marge are very active at St. Gabriel's. Bill has been recently involved in the Synod, and Marge has been working for the Praying Hands ministry and has sewn beautiful vestments for our pastor as well as the albs for the ulter servers. Bill has done great work for Habitat of Humanity and in building wheelchair ramps for those who need them, most recently for Sandy Smith. Together they are a wonderful example of a good Catholic family serving their faith community.

Ted is a Lector, Julie is a Eucharistic Minister, and Carter is an Alter Server. Together they are a wonderful example of a good Catholic family serving their faith community.

The Guardino Family

Joe Guardino is our Music Coordinator at St. Gabriel’s. Joe’s family currently resides in Williamsburg. The level of commitment, dedication and sacrifice by Joe and his family for the furtherance of our music at mass, which has been incredible, is inspiring and is why they are our Family of the Month.

Deacon Roy and Sandy Smith

Both Deacon Roy and Sandy do so much for our Church Community, and they are involved in almost everything that goes on in our church community. Sandy is a lector, and minister of the eucharist.


October 2022

Chris and Mary Barone

Chris and Mary are in the Groundskeeping ministry and have been caring for the prayer garden for years. The garden is beautiful as they do all work from weeding, tree trimming, and planting. The garden is beautiful, and what all visitors see first when entering the church. The Stations of the Cross have been added to the garden, which helps to define it as a center piece for our Parish.

Tom & Beth Anne Tortoriello

Tom is an usher at Saint Gabriels, and has been for years. Beth Anne is also an usher and is a Minister of the Eucharist. Both have been involved in many Knight functions over the years. Both have also been involved with the rosary at Saint Gabriels.

Bob and Roselene Allen

Bob and Roselene are both members of the Rosary Ministry at St. Gabriel's, both are youth Counselors at St. Garbiels, and both are members of the Respect Life Counsel.

Both Fred & Suzie are Ministers of the Eucharist, and together they have been very involved in the migrant ministry.

Boyce

Dan & Bernadette participate in many Church functions. Both are ushers and Right to Life members. Dan belongs to the Migrant ministry and is a Reader. Dan also volunteers most every week at the food bank.
Bernadette is a member of WINGS and also works on other Charity organizations.

Gorton, Stu and Lisa

Lisa is our parish Adult Faith Formation leader. In reality, she has a hand in most everything the church accomplishes. Her smile and encouragement are always there to greet you. She accomplishes every task with love. Stu has been a usher for many years but he also does everything for the parish that Lisa tells him to do (things the rest of our council doesn't volunteer to do).

Grubbs, Rob and Faith

Rob founded and continues to lead our Fishermen's Study Group. He is always present at church and does everything a good Knight should.
Faith has participated and led several parish programs over several years. Their humility and positive approach are recognized throughout the parish.
