GUSTILO, Augustine, Jr., passed away Monday, April 21, 2014. He served his country in the military and was stationed at various bases around the world retiring from Davis-Monthan AFB after 20 years. Augustine went on to become a teacher and librarian with TUSD retiring after 20 years. Mr. Gustilo was an active member of the Tucson Railroad Society, Reid Park Zoo, Desert Museum, Knights of Columbus for over 50 years and a long time parishioner of St. Pius X where he taught Bible class and played the guitar in the choir for many years. Mr. Gustilo graduated from the U of A with a bachelor of science and education and a masters degree in library science. Fencing, biking and playing the guitar-balalaika were a few of Augustine's hobbies. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Gertrud; son, Marcus; daughter, Kathrin (Cole) Zimmerman; grandchildren, Andrea and twins, Brandon and Christopher Zimmerman. Memorial contributions may be given to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, 2021 W. Kinney Rd. Tucson, 85743. Visitation will be Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway Blvd. with Rosary and Chalice Service at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Monday, April 28, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1800 N. Camino Pio Decimo.
