On July 8, 2019, Sir Knight Joseph J. (Jim) Heim of our Assembly passed away at age 78 after a short battle with mandibular cancer. A devoted member for several years of Resurrection Council, SK Jim was exemplified to the Patriotic Degree on March 2, 2013. Formerly of Ellicott City, Jim and his wife Libby moved to the Charlestown Retirement Community a couple of years ago, but SK Jim remained very active in Resurrection Council until recently. During his professional career, SK Jim was an avid fisherman and author on fishing topics, with articles appearing in the Baltimore Sun and the Frederick News Post, as well as receiving acknowledgments in books on fishing in Maryland. |
