An Honor Guard request from St. Thomas the Apostle Parish- CCC Mark Ziska of the Msgr. Don H. Hughes Assembly #2392 has asked for a city wide Callout to honor Msgr Todd M. O'Leary at his funeral mass. This will take place on Tuesday May 18, 2021 at 10am at St. Thomas the Apostle, 5150 N. Valley View Rd., Tucson, Az. 85718.
Msgr O'Leary was the founding pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish. The announcement of his passing, which occurred last summer, as well as the planning of his celebration of life were delayed due to the pandemic restrictions. Thankfully, we are now able to proceed in paying our respects to Father Todd.
A little background on our honoree; Father Todd was ordained in 1958 in Ireland for the Diocese of Tucson. In 2009 Pope Benedict XVI bestowed him with the title of Monsignor in honor of his service to the Catholic Church.
Bishop Edward Weisenburger will be the celebrant with priests of the Diocese. Large mass participation is expected so carpool if possible. Honor Guard, as part of the uniform wear a Black Mask without insignias, assemble at 9:15am.
